Resetting Your PIN

Follow these steps to reset your PIN, if you have  forgotten your PIN or need to change it.

1.      On the login page, enter your User ID.

2.      Click Forgot PIN? A Security Answer page displays, showing your previously saved security questions.

3.      Type the answer to your question, and click Submit Answer to change your old PIN to something new.

Note

Your answers must exactly match the answers that you previously saved, except that case (upper case or lower case) does not matter, and white space (such as spaces between words) is ignored.

We currently require one question and it’s up to the user to create it.  There’s nothing in the drop down box Question: Not Selected

1.      A PIN Reset page displays.

2.      Type your new PIN, and type it again in the Confirm PIN field. (You can now use Alpha and numeric 6-15 characters)

a.       NOTE:  DO NOT use special characters!

3.      Click Reset PIN.

Setting Up Security Questions and Answers

You must set up security questions and answers:

·         on your very first Self-Service login

·         on your first login after your institution’s security question policies change.

You can also choose to change your security questions by clicking the Change Security Questions link in Web General.

In any case, the process is the same. Even if you set up security questions previously, you start with a blank slate each time.

1.      Enter your PIN.

2.      Select a pre-defined security question from the drop-down menu, or type your own question.

Depending on your institution’s settings, you might not have the option to type your own question. In that case, just select one of the pre-defined security questions.

3.      Type your answer to the question.

4.      Repeat the process for the remaining security questions.

5.      The number of questions is based on your institution’s settings. You might have only one question to answer, or there might be several.

6.       Click Submit.
